Why some drugs don’t work for you but appear to work
for others.
Pharmacogenomics:
• Can reduce the risks associated with Psychotropic drugs and other drugs that are metabolized by the CYP450 genes;
• Save lives and prevent unnecessary injuries to 10s of thousands of patients every year who experience suicidal and depressive thoughts provoked by these drugs because of their genetic capacity;
• Reduce the cost to the Australian Heath Care Industry billions of dollars over the next 10 years.

Psychiatric Drugs
The truth about psychiatric drugs by renowned psychiatrist, Dr Peter Breggin. He provides an accurate and valuable explanation about the relationship between Pharmaceutical Companies and the Psychiatric Industry that to date has failed to be held accountable for the hundreds of thousands of Adverse Reactions experienced by both children and adults. Adverse Reactions that have led to worsening depression and suicidal behaviour to the most dangerous where patients experience agitation, aggression and homicidal ideation, more commonly known in the medial profession as Akathisia.

Antidepressants can provoke suicidal behaviour
Another story of a bright 18 year old who had her life ahead of her but committed suicide after being treated with the antidepressant Paxil™. This drug was prescribed against the regulators recommendations but Doctor’s did not heed this warning in the case of this young girl. In Australia over 280,000 prescriptions are written to children under 18 and over 12 million scripts are written to adults every years. These are frightening statistics considering we only have a population of 21 million.

Withdrawing from antidepressants can be dangerous
Drug companies and many Doctors claim antidepressants are not addictive yet withdrawing from these drugs can be an incredibly difficult process for both consumers and families. It is not uncommon for individuals to remain on these drugs as not to experience the myriad of harmful withdrawal effects.
Contrary to this, the only warning to appear of the packaging of these drugs in Australia in regards to withdrawal advises consumers not to stop taking the medication without consulting a medical practitioner. The truth about this warning is that if you suddenly stop taking your drug you can experience serious withdrawal effects that lead to suicidal ideation, a side effect that can be completely unrelated to the original condition.
Once you agree to this form of treatment you need to understand that there are serious implications involved in the withdrawal process and that it is possible you can become indefinitely dependent on them.
Warning: There have been no long term studies scientifically advising of the long-term risks associated with these drugs.

Important bulletin for new Mothers
Many new mothers and or even those on their second or third child will experience hormone fluctuations after giving birth, more commonly referred to as Post Natal Depression, PND. We prefer the term Post Natal Hormone Fluctuations because this has nothing to do with psychiatric medication.
Rebeka Bedoe is one of those new mothers and her story will shock and horrify you.
Did you know that the Australian Government is considering implementing a Mandatory Post Natal Mental Health check for all new Mothers?.
Of course the majority of new mothers will experience hormonal dysfunction in the early stages, which could easily be misdiagnosed as a mental health condition. The majority of horror stories presented in the media about mothers killing their babies forget to mention that the mother was being treated with antidepressants. If the mother did not have the genetic capabilities to metabolise these drugs they would be predisposed to the risks that include suicidal ideation and Akathisia, which is a condition that presents as agitation but can lead to extreme aggression and homicidal ideation.
